Spiritual Olympics

You just can`t avoid the Olympics !  You will see or hear about them in some way or another, whether you like it or not ! Here are a few Biblical thoughts in relation to  “Spiritual Olympics” !

First of all, there are many rules to the Olympics, but here is, if you like, a “Golden Rule” for the “Spiritual Olympics”

 

Ecclesiastes 9:11 ” I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”

 

 

You need to be physically prepared for the Olympics. Athletes train for months on end for this event. Here is some advice for “training” for  the  Spiritual Olympics. 

 

1 Timothy 4:8  “For bodily exercise profiteth little: but Godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.”

 

Of course, the Gold Medal is the all important medal in the Olympics. Here are some thoughts on that.
