We as God`s people ought to behave differently than the world. When we don`t react to offences and hurts with bitterness and revenge, the world notices the difference. Can the world see Jesus through me ?

1st Corinthians 13 says that love bears all things – the thought there is covering offences with a cloak of love. A lady who had been offended greatly said she didn`t feel any animosity because she was full of the love of Jesus. Now that`s the place to be !!

Wednesday 7th October 2020 – “Just A Minute”

Proverbs 19 says that when we choose to pass over an offence done against us, it is our glory. But it`s difficult – how can we come to that place? Jesus said to love one another as He loved us. We have to move and operate in Calvary love.

Tuesday 6th October 2020 – “Just A Minute”

The Bible encourages us to cast our cares on the Lord, but so often we take them back again. When the memory of a past hurt or offence comes to our mind, we have to make a conscious decision to nip it in the bud and not dwell on it, because we have already given it to Jesus.

Monday 5th October 2020 – “Just A Minute”

Offended and hurt people put up barriers and Proverbs 18 tells us that such are as hard to win back as conquering a city. 1st John 4 gives a warning though – God will accept nothing less than pure love between brothers and sisters in Christ.

Grudges can move down through generations. David had every reason to hold offence against King Saul’s family, but he overcame a potential bondage, by showing kindness to Saul`s grandson, Mephibosheth. We can overcome offences through grace and mercy.

“Grudges and Revenge”
Offences birth grudges, and grudges birth revenge. The Bible says that when people hurled insults at Jesus, He didn`t retaliate, but committed all things to His Father. Let’s be like Jesus !

Offences are satan’s bait to lure us into a place of spiritual negativity.
The word offence can also be translated stumbling- block.
Refuse to allow the tempter to lure you in and trip you up through offences done against us.
